GREAT ADVENTURE

The GREAT ADVENTURE strives to combine the influence of family and church to form students who will become mountain movers. God created the family to be a vehicle of passing faith from generation to generation. Adam and Eve walked and talked with God in the garden of Eden and we see their son’s, Cain and Abel, making sacrifices to God. Abraham

faithfully followed God and God made a promise to bless his family if they continued to live with the passion. Abraham to Isaac, Isaac to Jacob,

Jacob to Joseph. Family is the heart of faith continuing in the world. Plus you have the heart of your child. You spend more time with them than any other human. Roughly 3000 hours in a year.

The church is to be a light to the world. Sharing the Good News of Jesus to all that will hear and change the world. Jesus instructed his disciples to go all over the world, sharing the gospel, baptizing them, and making new disciples to carry out the same mission. As baptized believers, we are now disciples of Jesus and thus our mission is the same. We are the light of the world.

The average child will spend 40 hours a year within the walls of the church learning from other believers. What if instead of your child getting all their faith instruction at church, or just from home, the church and home worked together to influence children to be lifelong followers of Christ?

The combined efforts of the family (red) and the light to the World, the Church (yellow) will make students (orange) who will follow God more

faithfully, passionately, and closely. Jesus changed the world with 12

ordinary men. Imagine what He could do with a generation of children who are equipped to change the world?
